Midwest Psychedelic Healing Journey: April 2026

Midwest Psychedelic Healing Journey: April 2026

You're probably wondering what all the fuss is about.

If you're like me, a few years ago you started hearing about the potential benefits of micro dosing LSD on a podcast.

Then a friend of a friend went to Costa Rica for an ayahuasca (eye-ah-WASK-a) healing ceremony.

Next thing you know, Michael Pollan is talking about psychedelics on Neflix.

For those who have dabbled with them at a party (or, say, a Phish concert ⭕️), psychedelics can be a lot of fun. But that's not all they can be.

For centuries, indigenous folks have engaged with these medicines as part of their traditions and sacred rites, but western science is only beginning to understand the remarkable characteristics of psychedelic medicines and the benefits they offer.

Psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) has the power to make the subconscious conscious. In a therapeutic context, it creates conditions for radical self-awareness, understanding, and connection to others and nature. It also accelerates the speed and creativity of new connections in our brans. All of these things together can lead to genuinely life-changing experiences of healing, growth, and self-acceptance.

For me, it was like getting ten years of talk therapy in just a few hours.

If psychedelics are entirely new to you, our content series Why Mushrooms? is a great place to start.

If you have been thinking about trying it for yourself, this might be the right time.

If this is you:

  • You understand that your emotional well-being has a significant impact on the well-being of your career and your relationships
